Tayside Contracts T&C Offer Withdrawn

UPDATE – Proposed Changes For GMB Members

GMB members were balloted over the proposed changes to terms and conditions over the summer and as you know the result was

Reject Proposals – 67%
Accept Proposals – 33%

GMB Members Concerns

Since the result GMB have been discussing with management some of your concerns to see if we can negotiate some changes, mainly the change that could make you work any 5 days out of 7 (So Saturday and Sunday become a normal working day), the difference between Angus FA’s and everyone else as well as the lack of clarity/trust members had with some of the proposals.

Tayside Contracts refused to change a single word of the proposal.

Therefore the GMB members had already rejected what was on the table so I believe Tayside Contracts will today withdraw the offer and restart discussions to address the issue of pay between the lowest grades.

What Next…

GMB will meet with management as soon as possible to start new negotiations and we will then be consulting each and every one of you to see what you want from the next set of discussions.

What did you like? What didn’t you like?

Therefore it’s so important we have your email and mobile number so you are getting updates.

Currently Grades 1, 2 and the bottom of 3 are on the same rate of pay and that is not acceptable.

The GMB believe every pay point should receive an increase of £1000 from April next year without any strings attached and that is what we are currently fighting for to be paid to every public sector worker in Scotland.

Discussions will start on where we go from here but we will keep you updated. Please make sure the GMB has your mobile number and email address so you are kept updated.
