GMB School Staff Members

We are aware that the current situation is changing daily for many of you who work in schools.

GMB has asked for clear-lines of communication to ensure that all Support Staff feel included in the discussions about changes to school services during this national crisis.

Following feedback from our members within the Children & Families Service, the GMB have today asked for clarification on a number of key topics and issues:

This includes work expectations and shift rota’s for support staff being deployed to new positions within the Community Support Centre structures.

For clarification of what levels of support will be available for staff with underlying health conditions in returning to work.

What Health and Safety provisions will be in place for those staff remaining in schools or hubs supporting your local community.

The provision of home working and holiday entitlements are all key questions raised by our members.

The Senior Management Team has agreed to hold a telephone conference with support staff unions today at 12:00 noon to discuss further service issues.

We will let you know the outcome of these discussions, and if you have any further queries please don’t hesitate to contact us
