PPE
The issue of inadequate PPE has been raised with us consistently over the last few months by you, our members. As a result of representations made to Fife Council, a PPE working group has been established and you are represented on this group by your trade union colleagues.
In order to provide us with supporting evidence at that working group, we have issued a survey to our members which relates to PPE provision in Fife council.
For those of you who we have email addresses for, this has been issued to the email address we have on record for you, and for the remainder a survey has been posted.
If you are a member and you believe that you fall into this category (i.e. you regularly wear PPE for your work) and you have not received a survey, please call 01382 225491 to arrange for us to issue one to you.
Fife council spent over £11 MILLION on consultants in the last two years alone (15/16 -16/17) – we believe some of that money could be much better spent on providing adequate clothing for our members who are required to work outside in all weathers.
