By now you should have received your ballot paper. Vote YES for action and Yes for action short of strike. It’s extremely important that you return your ballot paper as soon as possible to send a strong message to the council.
We will be holding telephone canvassing to get out the vote this evening, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 May & Wednesday 29 & Thursday 30 May at the office from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Refreshments will be provided. All welcome.
We are also hosting a Gathering for all Dundee City Council and Leisure and Culture GMB Members. This will take place on Tuesday 28th May at the GMB Office, Unit 12 Camperdown Street from 6 pm to 7 pm. There’s free parking from 6.00 PM.
The topic for the meeting will be “Not on your Nelly – Managing Workforce Change”.
At the meeting members will have the opportunity to find out about what the Strike Committee has been doing in different areas/sections across the city to highlight the recent terms and conditions changes. This will be an opportunity to share your experience of how your workplace has changed over recent years and to discuss the way forward for our union in tackling such issues.
GMB Scotland will always defend our members’ interests within Dundee City Council and its Arms Length Organisation Leisure and Culture Dundee.
