GMB met with management yesterday and were hoping to have some further information for you. Unfortunately, due to the council election last week and the lack of administration as of today, DCC management have not been able to progress to any formal proposal.
As a result, a further meeting is set for 16th June where we hope we will see sight of some proposals, and I will update you after that.
In the meantime, we have agreed that those of you who are trialling the split shifts will have one to ones with your managers to see how you are feeling and what your thoughts are – we know through feedback that some of you are very tired. Please make sure you are honest with your managers – this is your opportunity to express what you feel you need to do.
Temporary staff are having 3 month extensions to their contracts. If you know any temporary staff who are not members, please make them aware of this and encourage them to join.
Please also remember we are always on the look out for more reps – we are particularly keen to encourage under represented groups. If anyone is interested in becoming a rep then please contact the office on 01382 225491 or speak to your reps – they are Susan Marnie and Maureen McCabe for GMB.
