We would like to let you know that an absolutely overwhelming amount of members have voted to take action in our consultative ballot.
94% of GMB Dundee City Council members who voted have indicated that you would be willing to take some form of action to protect your hard fought terms and conditions with 95% of GMB Leisure and Culture members voting to take action.
The council have failed to properly consult with your recognised trade unions over proposed changes in relation to compulsory redundancy, flexible retirement and cash conservation, and you have sent a strong message to them to let them know that you will not stand by and allow this to happen.
There is no justification for Dundee Council to have behaved in the way in which they have. It’s time to take a stand and we will consult with you, our members along with our sister Trade Unions to look at what happens next.
