Thank you to everyone who completed the mental health survey we sent across Scotland.
Of our GMB care members in Angus council who answered, the results are really quite stark.
All of you told us no one had contacted you about mental health support so far.
All of you told us you don’t feel there is any support in place for your mental health.
Half of you believe there is no supportive measures in place whatsoever.
None of you believe there is bereavement support available.
75% of you feel that Covid-19 has had a detrimental impact on your mental wellbeing.
75% of you told us you fear for your own safety.
87% of you told us you are afraid to take the virus home.
75% of you told us you don’t feel you have enough PPE.
We will be writing to the employer to ask that urgent support and signposting is put in place for you, and please don’t hesitate to contact your rep Mags, or the branch email address which is dundee@gmb.org.uk if you have any issues you need to be raised.
If you still feel you don’t have adequate PPE, please speak to your managers and let us know.
