GMB@TaysideContracts

Being a part of GMB Union works!

You will recall last year GMB took the lead in submitting a collective grievance on behalf of members in Tayside Contracts who had been forced to take annual leave. This contradicted the agreement that we had reached with Tayside Contracts as well as the national agreement we reached with COSLA.

Tayside Contracts have now accepted the GMB argument that those in construction who had to take the fixed April week in 2020 will now have this returned to you. This is fantastic news.

Everyone else who was forced to take leave will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Please speak to your local rep in the first instance or contact us dundee@gmb.org.uk or call us on 01382 225491 if you have any questions about this.

We (GMB) have asked for clarity on when this can be carried over to and will write out to you once we have received that.

Tayside Contracts have accepted that no one should have been forced to take annual leave.

If anyone would like to see the correspondence between GMB and Tayside Contracts on this issue then please email us dundee@gmb.org.uk where we will be happy to share this.
