We’ve had reports from some of you recently that some managers and/or HR have arrived at your workplace to have a meeting with you without appropriate warning or without the opportunity to take a Trade Union (TU) rep with you.
You are entitled to take a TU rep with you to these meetings, and we strongly recommend that you do. Meetings that you are entitled to have a TU rep accompany you include:
- Meetings about pay
- Contractual Issues
This list is not exhaustive.
If there is no one available at the time, then the meeting can be postponed to allow you to arrange for someone to accompany you. All you have to do is let them know that you will be taking the time to arrange a TU rep.
