GMB Tayside Construction Members Briefing
The following has been agreed between Tayside Contracts and GMB Union.
All Managers should now be clear of what is considered essential work.
Tayside Contracts is looking for operatives to be available to do Category 1 and 2 emergency jobs only during normal working hours and require standby operatives to cover nights and weekends.  This would always be a two-person team but using separate vehicles and adhering to social distancing guidelines.
It is important everybody understands that operatives should respond from home and go to the depot for a vehicle and any required materials and as soon as the job is finished, the vehicle should be returned, and operatives must go straight home with gathering.
Please make sure hands are washed upon entering and leaving the depot and any tools and vehicles are wiped clean.
Local supervisors/managers should be in touch to discuss rotas.
Any problems or deviations from the above, please contact your GMB Representative. As your Union, your health and safety is paramount.
Remember the number one rule is always to keep yourself and families safe!
