GMB Union have carried out a consultative ballot of our swim teacher members in relation to the proposed changes under the aquatics review for the Learn to Swim programme.

The results are that of those who received a ballot paper, 100% were returned and 100% have indicated that they would be willing to take action to protect the service and hours of work.

We are communicating this to the employer today and have asked for a meeting to resolve the issues.

There has been no agreement to the proposals and we are requesting that these are withdrawn until we can have meaningful consultation.
