To all swim teachers only

We have been made aware that swim teachers are being asked to agree to a rota that has not been submitted to your trade union for approval.  As a trade union member you have the right to enter into collective bargaining for all contract of employment related issues including that of hours, pay and holidays.

Please note that we have not been presented with any proposal to your current allocated shift pattern.

The GMB have therefore not agreed any of the current proposals and ask that you do not agree at this stage to a y changes as we will negotiate this on your behalf.  Please do not feel that you are being pressured into making any decision at this time.  LACD have a duty of care to all their employees.
