GMB trade union lodges Failure to Agree on behalf of Leisure & Sport Members effected by the Aquatic Review
Definition of Failure to Agree
A Failure to Agree, is where Management and Trade Unions have been unable to reach a negotiated agreement through formal consultation processes on issues affecting employees across Leisure & Culture Dundee.
GMB believe that the consultation process under taken by the Leisure and Sport Management Team, has failed to engage with individual employees or to allow trade unions the opportunity to enter into collective bargaining on behalf of their members.
We have therefore requested a meeting with the Managing Director and the Chairman of the Leisure Trust Board to discuss the matter further to ensure that our member’s voices are being heard loud and clear.
We firmly believe that the proposed changes are not the right solution for Aquatic Services across the City. We have also requested that the report and it’s supporting documents are not presented to the next LACD HR and Equalities Committee due to take place on Tuesday 23rd July 2019.
Please be assured, that we intend to present the company with alternative proposals, once feedback has been sort from our members.
