GMB Officers Vicki Leonard and Helen Meldrum will be visiting Ladywalk House Tuesday 4 July 2017.
We want to be able to update your details in order for us to keep you up to date with anything that may be happening in your workplace or the council.
We are always on the look out for new reps, and ideally, we would like to have at least one in each home. If you are interested, then please see our Officers when they visit, or failing that, we will be visiting again regularly with dates advised to you in advance. If you are not available at any of these times, and would like to know more, then please call the Dundee GMB office on 01382 225491. Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before, as full training and support will be provided to you. We are particularly keen to encourage members from under represented groups.
Non members are welcome to come along and speak to an officer – if you are aware of any new starts or someone who may wish to join us, then let them see this email and encourage them to come and have a chat.
GMB provides a solicitor if anyone has any issues relating to the SSSC – we have supported members at SSSC and helped them win. Others who have not been in a union have been struck off for the same alleged offences in some cases. Again, our officers will be able to give you more details but for GMB members the legal representation in these cases is free.
