Yesterday, 13th October 2016, your representatives from the GMB along with the Joint Trade Unions met with Dundee City Council to advise them that the proposals in their most recent form are rejected for all members. This was the message that all members gave us loud and clear after the consultation meetings.
What next…..
We will work jointly with the Council to discuss more reasonable proposals. Your stewards will be involved in those meetings and they will keep you fully informed at every opportunity. We will continue to send out updates and will ensure that you are consulted on each proposal.
We will continue to work with the council to ensure that you do not suffer any detriment.
It has been really positive that all union members remained completely united over the proposed changes to terms and conditions and we hope that this will continue to ensure you have a strong voice in negotiations.
Together we are stronger.
