GMB@Environment

Dear Member
For those of who work in environment, and who have not yet been identified as key workers, our advice to you is to go home. This is particularly for gardeners.
Ask for a risk assessment which must show that you are a key worker and what Dundee City Council is doing to mitigate any risk.
It is likely that at some point you may be asked to do other duties under key worker status however as it stands at the moment, you can say you are not willing to put yourselves in danger. You should be provided with appropriate PPE if you are asked to do other work.
In the absence of that please keep yourselves safe and inform your managers you are not refusing to work but in the absence of any risk assessment you are going home until plans can be put in place.
We will be sending out a separate communication to our grave digger members.
