We met with members affected regarding the latest round of environment proposals yesterday. We have informed DCC that GMB members have unanimously rejected these and that we would be willing to meet to discuss this.
GMB have believed all along that the inclusion of long term ‘temporary’ workers was wrong within these proposals, and we did request that this group of workers were removed.
We will now be seeking to resolve these issues for our members with DCC who find themselves within this category. Please contact your local reps Ian Geekie and Jimmy Burke if you are one of these individuals.
We will update you on any further developments.
