GMB Tayside Contracts Latest update on Clean 3 & Face coverings

Dear GMB Facilities member,

REF: Tayside Contracts Latest update on Clean 3 & Face coverings

Clean 3

We met with management and have yet again raised the clean 3.  We have now been advised by TC management that they believe that if it is during your usual hours and place of work then you may have to do this. We disagree with this and have informed TC that we regard this as voluntary and no one should be forced to carry out this work. If you feel you are being pressurised into this work then please get in touch with us.

In particular, if you have been shielding or have any vulnerable family members please contact your local rep in the first instance or as we have been assured that you will not be put at risk and we can help you raise this if necessary.

If you feel your health may be compromised it is important that you raise this with your manager, and again, get in touch if you experience any issues with this.

Face Coverings

Face coverings have been raised again and we are in dialogue with the health & safety team. Tayside contracts are actively encouraging you to wear face coverings. The health and safety team are speaking with the health protection teams to try and get arrangements ASAP to cover catering. It cannot be the case that children are now being advised to wear face coverings and you do not have access to these.

GMB will never compromise on your health and safety.
