GMB DCC Environment H&S concerns update

FAO: GMB DCC Environment Members
Dear Member
The Council has agreed with GMB, that all health and safety concerns that you and your union have been raising will be addressed immediately. As a result, we believe that it should be safe to return tomorrow morning.
There will be no loss of pay.
Your GMB reps will assess each issue and make sure they are implemented. It is really important that you don’t congregate in buckies or confined spaces, no sharing of vans or equipment and contact us if any issues arise.
If you or someone you live with has an underlying health condition, please speak to your manager as soon as possible, to request an individual risk assessment.
All of these measures are to keep you and your families safe and it’s important that you take photographs and raise matters quickly as they arise. DCC have assured us that any issues raised will be dealt with seriously and quickly.
We are still discussing what is essential and non-essential work and will keep you updated. We are also raising this at a national level with the Scottish government.
Please get in touch if you need anything and keep yourselves and your families safe.
GMB Scotland will never compromise on your Health and Safety.
